Breathing techniques have been used for centuries as a way to calm the nervous system, as a practical tool for healing, and as a way to connect with our inner selves. The beautiful thing about the breath is that it is completely free, always available and the effects are immediate and undeniable.

Yoga practice identifies seven chakras, or vital energy centers, which are responsible for balancing all levels of our being. The chakras are but one of many aspects of yoga, along with yoga poses or postures, breathing, meditation, and other practices.
The yoga poses we so carefully practice help us open and balance our chakras. Each of the chakras supports energy within us: they bring us to places of well-being when they are balanced and places of stress when they are not balanced. Yoga practices of postures, breathing, and meditation help us to increase balance in each of the chakras.

You can do yoga at any age — really! It’s just a matter of picking what type of yoga you do and working within your abilities. It might even help you age better, keeping you flexible and building strength through low-impact moves.
Kids can start practicing Yoga as soon as they start to understand instructions. Ideally, kids of 4 years and above are capable to understand the instructions and follow the teacher. However, we should be careful that certain practices should not be taught to the kids.
